The Allen-Bradley 1734-4IOL POINT I/O 4-Channel IO-Link Master Module is a distributed I/O communication module that enables seamless integration of IO-Link-enabled field devices into Rockwell Automation control architectures. Designed for use within the POINT I/O platform, the module provides four independent IO-Link master ports capable of exchanging process data, diagnostics, and configuration parameters with connected devices.

Each port supports IO-Link Version 1.1 communication and can also function as a standard digital input or output channel when connected to conventional field devices. This flexibility allows machine builders and plant operators to deploy smart sensors and actuators while maintaining compatibility with existing automation infrastructure. The module supports automatic device recognition and parameter storage, helping reduce commissioning time and simplify device replacement procedures.

The Allen-Bradley 1734-4IOL is a POINT I/O 4 Channel IO-Link Master Module manufactured by Rockwell Automation. It provides IO-Link master functionality within the compact POINT I/O distributed I/O system, enabling seamless integration of IO-Link smart devices into Allen-Bradley control platforms.

This module features four independent IO-Link Class A ports, each supporting the IO-Link V1.1 specification. The ports operate at COM1 (4.8 kbaud), COM2 (38.4 kbaud), or COM3 (230.4 kbaud) communication rates, automatically negotiating with connected IO-Link devices. Each port can supply up to 200 mA to power connected IO-Link devices, with a total module capacity of 800 mA across all four channels.

The 1734-4IOL Allen-BradleyPOINT I/O 4 Channel IO-Link Master Module may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
Allen-Bradley 1734-4IOL POINT I/O 4 Channel IO-Link Master Module Manuals, Datasheets, Drivers, Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The 1734-4IOL supports process data widths of up to 32 bytes input and 32 bytes output per channel, accommodating complex IO-Link devices with extensive data requirements. Device parameter storage and IODD (IO Device Description) file upload/download are supported, enabling automatic device configuration and replacement without manual parameter entry.
Each IO-Link port is equipped with comprehensive diagnostics including short circuit detection, open load detection, and overload protection. The per-port LED indicators display green for active IO-Link communication, yellow for standard I/O (SIO) mode when a non-IO-Link device is connected, and red for fault conditions.
